The Poker Academy - A lot of hardly any poker

Here’s what my WSOP has looked like so far…
I played the Colossus and didn’t cash. I took a last minute, unexpected trip to New York to attend the Belmont Stakes as a guest of @Devopoker and DraftKings. This was an amazing experience, standing in the winner’s circle to welcome American Pharaoh, the first triple crown winner in almost 4 decades! I came back to Vegas and played the $1500 2-7 triple draw and a $5k NL hold’em event and didn’t cash. I went home to Seattle for about 8 days to catch up on some stuff there. I played the Chad Brown charity tournament at Planet Hollywood, an amazing event and a great time. Last year I won that event, but I had no luck this year. I published a book, a crime thriller with a poker slant called “Drawing Dead”, available on Kindle and Nook. This was something I have been working on for a couple of years and I think it’s a great story that I’m excited to share with the poker world. I hope to get a lot of feedback and see what people think about it, good or bad. It’s only $3.99 so check it out and please let me know what you think! I played one session of cash, $5-$10 No limit, winning about $4k. I played the $1k online event and didn’t cash. That’s it. Balance. I have played 4 WSOP events and went 0-4, played cash one time, took a vacation, went home for a week, and published a book. This summer, though I have played hardly any poker, has been one of the most enjoyable in the last few years, all because of balance!
