Make Friends with Great Poker Players (Free Poker Strategy Video)
11-12-2014, 09:30
Having poker friends you can trust is hugely valuable for discussing strategy, getting motivated and even getting a staking deal or a poker mentor.
Discussing strategy with a great player is so valuable because you can address the exact spots that are giving you the most trouble and go over problem-hands from recent sessions.
A lot of the time a better player will have encountered the problem before and can give you a solution based on his own experience. Having friends that can beat the stakes and games you're playing is great.
Sometimes hearing a different perspective on a hand or a concept can help you make the mental leap necessary to take your game to the next level.
If you don't have a network of poker friends in real life, start posting one of the big poker forums like Two Plus Two and try to join a skype group of players you can learn from.
