It has been a long time since I have made a blog post. A lot has happened since then. My two kids have sure grown up quite a lot. They’ve reached that age where I can play baseball with them, take them to the golf course and do other athletic types of activities. After one or both of them being in the baby phase for such a long time, it’s nice to move onto the next chapter of their lives.

After not taking poker as seriously as I’d like for a couple of years, I rededicated myself to the game about a year ago. After some early struggles adjusting to the always evolving games, my game has rounded up into shape quite nicely and the results reflect that. It’s nice to be in a position to truly dedicate myself to the game. Anytime I have been in a position to do so, the results have been fantastic. It’s nice to be back.

It may be of interest to some that I recently began streaming my play on Twitch. Most weeks I stream 30-50 hours of me playing 6 tables of whatever the highest stakes games that are running on America’s Card Room. I provide as much analyses as possible without giving away my reads on my opponents. I also tell poker stories, interact with people in the chat room, and talk about the poker world in general.

I’m excited about poker again. It feels good to feel that way after not feeling that way for a long time. The U.S. facing sites are growing at a tremendous pace which has allowed people the opportunity to play 12 mid stakes tables at a time and for higher stakes than in the past. Twitch has me excited as well. It’s kind of nice to be able to interact with people while I play. It’s also exciting to try and build a popular channel with a lot of traffic. It’s taking off already. Most days more than 2,500 people are tuning in over the course of the day and I just got started 5 weeks ago. I hope to keep building it.

I will check in from time to time with some life updates and thoughts on poker as I always have. I think having a blog again is a good idea. I used to enjoy doing it in the past, but got away from it. I’m happy to be back at it.
